We are an Australian based non profit artists run association for printmakers, photographers and all media artists who want to share their work anideas. More exchanges in the pipeline
Hello everyone. The Solander project is coming along. Sorry to everyone who missed out on this one. But never fear there will be more exchanges coming this year. How can we ignore the global financial meltdown. Especially as it affects the art price bubble. Sell the Van Gogh now! Soon it will have about the same value as that old B+W TV in your basement, but it will be much less interesting to look at.

Refugee - False Gods - Terra Nullius Scratch Pad - Take a look at the 2006 portfolios.
The 2006 portfolios we a great hit with artists with the chat room going crazy with all sort of ideas. The works were both from Australia and the UK as EPPM asked around 10 UK artists to contribute. This portfolio was a for runner to the travelling Solander as Michael was able to do some work with artists in Bristol and London. The portfolio has so far been donated to the London Print Studios, The National Gallery of Australia, The print Council of Australia. Michael is in negotiations and is looking into donating the portfolios to an American print workshop collection.

Digital Media & Printmaking - Travelling Solander News
Thanks to all the 36 Travelling Solander artists. We are now under way and hopefully all works will be posted around September this year. Michael will be producing a small publication which will be sent out to several curators and workshop coordinators to promote the works. All 36 works will travel to London in September 2010 for donation and exhibition at the London Print Studio. EPPM will also upload each work to our web site later this year. Michael is now interested in hearing from artists for a new project in 2010 2011 called SIZE UP see below for details.

Members News - ArtCloth: Engaging New Visions exhibition invitation
Hi all, I'd like to invite you to the following exhibition. ARTCLOTH: ENGAGING NEW VISIONS exhibition Curated by Marie-Therese Wisniowski The ArtCloth movement is gaining significant momentum in England, Europe, Asia, New Zealand, Australia and North America. This inaugural international exhibition, ‘ArtCloth: Engaging New Visions’, will introduce leading practitioners in this new artistic movement to Australian art practitioners, academics, art critics and the wider arts audience. This will be the first time that many of the distinguished international artists will be exhibiting their work in Australia. Twenty-one artworks will be exhibited, with each artwork approximately 1m x 3m in size. The exhibition showcase’s works that explore innovative print, mixed media and stitch techniques. The exhibited works are as diverse as their makers ranging from digital technology, dye sublimation, snow and hydrosulfite discharge, glazes and patinations, deconstructed screen printing, photography, itajime shibori, paper and cloth lamination, found materials, natural dyes, batik, piecing and stitching. The exhibition, 'ArtCloth: Engaging New Visions, will be held at Fairfield City Museum and Art Gallery, Sydney, Australia from the 29th August - 11th October 2009. To be opened at 2.00pm Saturday, 29th August by Joan Truckenbrod, Professor of Art & Technology, The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, USA. The exhibition will then tour to Orange Regional Gallery, New South Wales, from the 9th April – 30th May 2010 and to Wangaratta Gallery, Victoria, from the 11th December 2010 to 23rd January 2011. She specialises in the area of Art Cloth and Limited Edition Prints. The former Director of Fairfield City Museum & Gallery, Susan Hutchinson, and the present Director, Cedric Boudjema, have been instrumental in bringing this exhibition to Australia. The exhibition is supported by Art Quill & Co. Pty. Ltd. and The Australian Forum for Textile Arts (TAFTA).
