Hi Michael thanks for putting up your Solander image on line. This is a great idea maybe all the rest of the artists could upload their works as well. I will be sending all the images to Paul soon. I will also have a a finished power point presentation of all the i,ages and text for artists en of the month I hope. this can be used as visual presentation of the Solander by anyone who participated. The image you presented for the Solander is a fantastic use of the object within the landscape location. I see the work as a representation of picture postcard promotion kind of like the posters we used to see on train stations up until the 1980s. However ever there is always a personal artistic approach with your work which has become signature style in past 10 years you have been with EPPM. I can see your imagination going onto over drive with the 40 x a4 unique state project in 2011. Hi Mike thanks for the comment the works are 8 tee shirts with the media names embroidered on to each one with a digital stitching machine. The words are supposed to represent the different methods of media and ask the question are they not al the same. I think through history these methods of production have blended and transformed into each other. Esp with the new digital age. However each still has its own cult which grades the secrets and hides in departments storing away the produce of its labours. See collections ad archives esp on this comment. I like the idea of poly technical. And see it as time in our history to start joining the dots and tees of all methods and media. Hi Bernadette I have been flat out trying to get the Solander finsihed the catalogue has taken for ever chasing people etc. The work and Catalogue is nearly ready to send to London. I ended up not being able to go due to my PHD confirmation being changed to August. I am also running a huge project next year and in 2012 as well. Still the good news is I will be doing a group multi media portfolio in 2012 as well with around 20 artists. It will be unique state works from every thing from drawing to digital media. No editions just all unique small works. I will have a power point catalogue of the solander by easter I hope and I will be able to email it to all involved. I have been running the whole EPPM thing solo since early last year. This is why things take so long.
