Bridget Hillebrand Wins Silk Cut Award - Rececca Beardmore wins Fremantle. -  Michael Florrimell 9/28/2010
Congratulations to Bridget Hildebrand for winning the Silkcut Linocut award and Rebecca Beardmore for winning the Fremantle Print award both in 2010. Both artists have been participating in Exchange Partners in Print Media portfolios and projects for a long time. It is great to see some of our artists at long last gaining the recognising they deserve.
I have something to say about that!

New Blog Site -  Marie-Therese 9/10/2010
Dear Friends and Colleagues, I have recently set up my blog: http://artquill.blogspot.com/ The blog site is dedicated to arousing world wide interest in: (a) using the medium of cloth to create a work of art; (b) promoting prints on paper; (c) exploring concepts that are the basis of my current artworks; (d) offering opinions on art issues. The blog site will be updated fortnightly. The present post includes photo's of the international ArtCloth: Engaging New Visions touring exhibition on its touring program at Redcliffe City Art Gallery, Queensland and my Curator's Talk. The exhibition showcase’s artworks that explore innovative print, mixed media and stitch techniques. The exhibited works are as diverse as their makers, ranging from digital technology, dye sublimation, glazes and patinations, deconstructed screen printing, photography, itajime and mokume shibori, paper and cloth lamination, found materials, natural dyes, batik, piecing and stitching. I hope you enjoy the images and keep coming back for updates on the blog. Over the next few months, I will upload each of the artists work and statement on my blogsite.

Traveling Solander works finally hit London -  Michael Florrimell 9/4/2010
Hi all Solander artists the works have finally reached the London Print Workshop. The sea mail from Australia ended up taking 4 months so we missed the exhibition time table at the LPS. However we expect the works will be now on display with the catalogues from mid October this year. Again thanks to all the artists who contributed to the project.
I have something to say about that!
