JB, Bonzer! Some of your work is simply excellent. This work is beyond excellent. You have got right into the Ozi psychie and asked us all to have a good look at ourselves. Quote: Cath and Kim, "Look at me, look at meeeeee!" The technical side of your image is done to perfection and you certainly know how to play with the medium of which you are the master and not the other way round. I just recently got a new camera and can't believe what it can do when plugged into my PC system. Having said that I'd love to see what you could do with the 2005 DVD project. I think your work would be great in animation form. I could see it now, Saint Crikey explaining to us that a crock has not got his baby boy and that we should not confuse or syncronise or expect a repeat of "A dingo's got my baby! A dingo has got my baby girl!" This 'Bonzer' print goes up on the wall of my home for 2005 to help make me and others laugh more and to remind me to aspire to techinical excellence. Art investors and or art lovers should buy up this artist's work. Thanks JB for this print.

I agree great work Jim. This work snaps up a image of a well know Australia media star and grand images of Australia and collates them into a freezy of comical activity. This activity though has it's other side, perhaps one that many city slickers forget and that is the idea of how Australia is preceived by the outsider. Syndey Siders would say ohh but our marvolous opera house and Sydney Harbour bridge. MMM sorry its crocs and red rocks, and grow men camping out under the stars. Ask any one residing in the USA or UK and they will say ohh yeah Australia, is'nt that where the croc guy comes from.

Agree with your view of the technical excellance - would add superb use of colour and the perfect facial expression. However, do not for one minute think that the US and the UK are the epicentres of the world, We Canadians, although we struggle to know who we are, tend to know more about you than crocs and red rocks. There is "The Songlines".
The Saint is a far distance from "Radar Love" - which I have. Jim and I were at school together.
Send out some other samples of yourselves so that the world may know.

Linda, yes I agree with you. I want to see more and more often. I'd like to get to understand Australian psyche better as well. Wonder what Steve's working on now? I hope he's sending out armies of heavenly, environmental angels (Terri, Bindie and Boy) to fight for a GREENER Australia. Crickey mate, I'll be voting GREEN in the 2007 Oz election. Yeah Crickey - Great Escapes!

Hi Linda.
Thanks for the comment. Unfortunatley all most Aussies know about canada is that the canadain Swimming team gets beaten by the Australian swimming tea,
Of course most Aussies think hockey is a game you play on grass in the summer and that Basketball is an American invention even though ist was invented by a clergyman in Novascotia as a non-violent alternative to real hockey and lacross.
For most Austalians he cultura centers of the world are the US Vivas Bush or The UK viva Pommie Cricket and footie.

Linda and Jim, I'd like to see some resident Canadian printmakers on PNPM to see their visual and written viewpoints of the world. When I travelled around Canada I saw some truely amazing sights. I could easily go back or even live there permently but I will avoid eating in roadside dinners especially in Quebec. Loved seeing the road signs with beavers on them but could not understand why they had no phone numbers listed with the image - just an image of a beaver. Guess it's my cultural misunderstanding.

YEs it probably is a cultural mis-underst5anding. When I travel around QUensland or the territory when you se kolala. Kangaroo road crossing signs or wwhen you go for a swim and see croc signs there are no phone numbers listed.
Of course the crocs would have to be given waterproof phones. That could be a project for the Australia Zoo. The phones could have steve or Bindi ringtones.
There are lots og great printmakers in Cnada. There are lots of prints shop s too like the Open studio oin Toronto or ST MIchaels' in Newfie or the print shops in Quebec.
WHy don't you contact he print council of QUebec and invite some printmakers o r go to the CAR Canadian Artists website and post an invite.

Ring tones are getting better now they ar epoly something as the ringing is not so percing to the ear. Did you know mobile phones are the most used form of communication at the moment. Makes a huge differnce to print books one by one, now everyone can be a communicator hahahahaa.

But what to they communicate? Maybe we could have John Howard ringtones. That would be fun and they would be better managed than ringtones by union thugs or subversive organizaations like the greens..
