work was based on the TV show Michael Parkinson. The title is - The Michael
Florrimell and Michael Prior show conversations in printmaking and photography.
The sequence of photographs are supposed to be a walk on chat on and walk off

ReplyThe photographs were taken by a photographer called Libby at Michaels Studio in the winter of 2005, before i went to europe last year. I have become interested in my own projection as a printmaker and the complex nature of the world of media. The photorgraphic studio can become any enviroment one chooses just drop a blue screen in behind the subject and transfer a background in via photoshop. We wanted the focus on us the photographer and the printmaker. The interview between the party's in an abstract form eg no vocal recordings. Personally I find the parting of the artistic circles of print and photography offensive. This work for me plays on the joke-able nature of both partys. Try the split in most Australian archives. Have a walk into an Australian art college. Spliting the archive is about jobs not art. Its about time Australian institutions tried the poly tech attitude which the UK universitys have switched to. Art is Art
