Hey Hallelujah Jim, and then you have the Baptist Minister in Southern USA Texas area who fleeced his congretation of all their million$ that they had hidden in the Baptist retirement fund. There must be something spiritual/karma about the song 'bar bar black sheep have you etc?' Neat image Jim. I'd like to see Obama win because I like what I've seen about his grandmother, i.e. her house and her chickens, etc. . -Michael Zschech - 4/17/2008

Hi Michael Well that probably only happens in American Southern Baptist churches. Of course in Australia the evangelical churches, mentioning no names but I'm thinking of a group in Sydney that our ex-Dear Leader used to visit, also seem to have trouble with siome members sticky fingers and rubbery figures. Canadian Southern Baptist churches are honest Christian congregations although some canadian christians are also, shock, horror Socialists. We all know whrer that leads. The road to hell and good intentions etc. . -jim Brodie - 4/17/2008

Hey Jim cool work keep it coming like a piece like this for the solander next year. Details still in the box but im on the plane for UK to suss out their commitment to the project in August. Might have more interest from Ireland and USA. Idea is floating around one of 56 x 76 cm work unique state or ap edition the solander could be sent to a variety of exhibition spaces. Im looking into dj style flight cases for the solander box itself. Hey but keep sending stuff to EPPM web site. . -Michael Florrimell - 5/7/2008

Have a good flight Michael. I hope you are flying a route thst has some land underneath it. I hate the trans-Pacific flights to Canada where it is 12 to14 hours over sharjk infestd ocean. I'm glad you liked the print I'm think of maybe one about Kevin Heaven where Julia Gillard explains to that liberal lady from WA that her work Choices contract with God does not allow her access to the pearly gates but does provide acess to Malcom Turnbill's domain further down where it is warmer. Have fun in Pommy land, if tht is possible. . -Jim Brodie - 5/8/2008

Sharks enopugh of them in the art world to sink a ship. Same as politics hahaha. Ahhh but it will be summer in London and Melbourne will be freezing buy a bike and beat the expensive British rail system 5 pound of the underground I dont think so. I still recommend fixing the globel politics as a one to one basis. People need to stop thinking poly's will fix the problems. We need to get solar everything start riding bikes or walk stop consuming packaging. I mean when I lived in the mountains we went to the CO OP no packing on foods bring recycled jars bags and fill them with food. Walk to the market Walk to work uni etc. Public transport in Victoria is pumping they can't get enough the car and the consumption of energy. Energy sign to Green companys who put back into the green techs of the future. Ok I know this all sounds bogus but really its up to each individual to apply themselves if all is not to be lost to the dark future of globel DOOM. Going to Cambridge will be exciting I want to do an art work on Bikes as so many people ride them there. Melb central should be a bike and public transport zone only ban the car unless its solar hahahaha. Good luck with the American elections. . -Michael Florrimell - 5/13/2008

Michael if you are going to Cambridge do you have to wear academic dress? You know a cap and a gown. I don't know about this bike thing though, I thought all Australians loved Holdens, the Cricket and SVUs. I bet Shane Warne isn't worried about global warming, not if he is in Melbourne where it is cold. I don't own or drive a car, I haven't since 1968. I rode a 10 speed bike for years in Canada and I also rode a bike when I first came to Australia, Unfortunately I found oot the hard way that Australian divers had trouble differentiating cyclists and targets so I gave up bike riding and just use public transport. The solar powered car is a good idea , like the race from Darwin to Adelaide. But I think these cars are still in the experimental stage. I don't understand why Australians don't develop nuclear powered cars. Each car could have it's own mini reactor. I mean it works for submarines, so why not cars. That would really cut down on the greenhouse gases and the spent fuel could be reprocessed as weapons grade plutonium and sold to our favourite ally, hint , not New Zealand. I've been to the territory and there's heaps of uranium just lying around doing nothing. Just think we could have a bunch of new export industires here. It could be as big as oour coal exports. I mean Kevin 07 didn't sign the Koyoto protocal for no reason. What do you think Michael? If Australia really developed this kind of technology we could all be riding around in pollution free nuclear powered cars. Maybe we could develop nuclear powered bikes. Have fun in cambridge Jim . -Jim Brodie - 5/14/2008

Hey no Gown no hat summer school you just pay to pay at being in a old english film set from a 50's movie in your head that is. My Fathers been going there for years live in like an old boy hahahaha. Jim get back on your bike ride on the foot paths and bike tracks I know what you mean about crap drivers though. . -Michael Florrimell - 5/16/2008

Hi Mike Yeah, maybe, right now we are staying with family as the builders rip the roof off our house and take out about 3 walls. I guess if I did start riding my bike again, I bought a mountain bike a couple of years ago, i'd have to think about gettijng it powered. There was an article in today's Courier Mail about the fact that cyclists are actually safer on mopeds than on pedal powered bikes. So do I use electric power, petrol power, solar power or just bite the bullet and go nuclear? The same paer predicted petrol rationing in Queensland within ten years as the oil is running out. . -jim Brodie - 5/17/2008

Hey jim get a bike that has electric or solar power plus pedal power be good for those brisbane hills. Petrol well the price is high but not like london 2 pound a litre thats like 5 bucks. mmmm might live here keep the UK for holidays only next usa or italy in 2009 I want to go on the blues jazz bus from chicargo down to new orleans stop at elvis house hahaha. Ok take it easy. . -michael florrimell - 5/18/2008

Hi Michael Well if you go to the good old boy USA you will find petrol is a lot cheaper there than either Brisbane or London. Like about 80 cents a litre, or $3.20 a gallon. My sister in Ottawa says everybody in Canada screamed when petrol hit 95 cents a liter this year. If I was going back to North America I would go to Toronto to listen to the blues. Better bars, less street violence and it's cleaner. That's where a lot of Yanks go. If I was going to the USA i would go to Louisiana, not necessarily New Orleans, and to Nevada, definitely Las Vegas and probably Claifornia, Disneyland and the ORIGINAL #1 MacDonalds. I'd also go to Seattle for the Pike Street Markets and the Orange Spice tea you can get there. Bill Gates lives in Seattle and Microsoft is headquartered in Seattle so it must be great place. Italy would be nice, except they like slow food ther and some people don't speak English or Strine so it's hard to find out where the nearest MacDonalds fine food showplace is. Besides England and Italy are full of all of those old buildings, sculptures and paintings and stuff. At least the USA has newer stuff. Anyway I'm seriously considereing doing an image of a nuclear powered bike. the reactor and cooling chambers might be a bit bulky. But then again the fact that the reactor would glow in the dark would mean I wouldn't need a bike lamp. Anyway Michael I can just see you at Graceland getting your photo taken next to a statue of the king. If you go to madame Tussards in London you can see statues of Elvis, Princess Di, Charles & camilla and lots of other famous dead people. . -Jim Brodie - 5/19/2008

Hey Jim yes the nuck bike would be great for the traveling solander we are arranging. Keep an eye on the web site we will be changing the lay out soon as well as putting up the 2007 images donation up dates etc. Yes been to Madame Twos in London had a photo taken with Picarso and David Hockney. Yes Gracelands would be a fav but have to go to New Orleans for some drum lessons second line drumming just love it. Ok keep coool . -Michael Florrimell - 5/20/2008

Michael I'm glsad you like the idea of the nuclear powered bike. It's good to know a green person who can go beyond the fundamentals of eco activism and see the big globalized picture. I'm just trying to work out what kind of reactor to miniaturize for the bike. My preference is for a CANDU reactor because unlike the shoddy things the Yanks & Russians make they don't blow up. They might leak a little radioactive ater now and then but hey that soon washes away down the gutters. Besides one of my friends used to be a trouble shooter for the reactor in Oakville Ontario. He had a great job. He got 6 months off with pay every year as soon as the little piece of film he wore at work turned black. Of course if I can't design a nuclear powered bike I could always design one that runs on Whale oil. That would be a big seller in certain island nations near China. . -Jim Brodie - 5/31/2008

Hi Jim hope you watched the Greasan Effect on ABC last week it they talked about selling anything there was talk and ad campains on selling whale meat. I suppose Beneton sold poverty in Colours magazine so maybe you could sell the Nuc bike easy enough. Bit worried about you freind with the black tag though still if working in a nuc department does not kill you something else will. The idea with Green is to do something before its to late. Watching the natural world of china see the glashiers melt away last night did not exactly fill my heart with a warm glow that all is ok. Still have fun with the inventions. . -Michael Florrimell - 6/2/2008

Michael O YE of LITTLE FAITH. Our ex DEAR LEADER said there was no greenhouse problem. The natural world is always changing as humanity 'progresses'. You should read Richard Wright's little book 'On Progress'. It's also available as a CBC (Canadaian Broadcasting Corporation) download. Glacier melt, Glaciers freeze, tundra melts, tundra freezes, its part of the endless cycle of existence like Sharon Stone says the Dali Lama says. As Ms. Stone pointed out the earthquakes in China were 'KARMA", because the Chinese government has been mean to the Dali Lama. I'm sure if you watched Ophra and read People Magazine like I do you would find the answers to all of your questions. Sharon Stone, Tom Cruise, Kate Cerebano, Ronald MacDonald, Reg Regan, Naomi Campbell Posh & Becks etc., have all the answers if we are clever enough to understand them. Media personalities are like the 21st century's soothsayers. Some of my friends used to get secret radio messages from these people through the fillings in their teeth. But now they just go to blogs or youtube for their answers Maybe while you are in the UK you could visit Sean Connery, Charles and Camilla, Madonna, Elton John, J.K. Rowling or Rolf Harris to receive some pearls of wisdom. As Bobby Farin sang years ago 'Don't Worry . Be Happy.' . -jim Brodie - 6/2/2008

All cool no won't bother visiting any of these people but im sure some are putting their cash and minds to solving some of the problems of hunger and polution in the world of today. Yes it is a bit like pass the buck and this is a reason for each and every one to try a little harder get out of your car, plant a tree write to you local member about green concerns support green energy and put in a water tank. Get solar power if you have the cash flow buy a hybrid car anything. There was a program on TV ABC 1 where the energy team came to your house and gave tips on reducing the amount amazing up to 80% saved in some house holds so it is possible to change our bad habbits now not in the future. Still time changes every thing Jim I have been investigating a block of building which I investigated back in 1990 for my Honors BA printmaking course. The block is in Fizroy St St Kilda between Grey and Princess streets. The block is listed as 75 % Heritage. But since the 1990 the buildings have been guttered leaving only the front facard of the buildings. What is interesting is the building have changed from housing old down and outs to yuppie corporate's. The building house cafes bars, cinima's, bookshops etc. The buildings start at st frontage and go all the way back to little Grey st backage, their are no gardens listings for the block on council specs etc. The garden specs have not change but the amount of residents have. I would guess 3 fold. Council specs high density population with approval for more levels of building on some of the lower rise buildings etc etc council approval for office and retail etc etc. So the investigation has revealed to myself the intergation of mass popular to an area which was through the 70, 80, 90's under populated and of poverish levels. The building of interest were holiday flats for the rich in the early 20's to the 50's before and after the war. On closer refelection of back lane activity a little use of graffiti near the backpackers and a few old mattresses, junk etc a couple of junkies and that's about it. Interesting to see some things don't change in the lane way respect. I could image on Friday and Sat nights it would resemble the old days of drunken acivity's of old hahaha I'll investigate and let you know. . -Michael Florrimell - 6/4/2008

Hi Michael I know what you mean about gentrification of areas. It's llike when I used to live in Toronto in the city center. I lived where the North American Indian, migrant Itallian & Portuguese neighbourhood met the West Indian neighbourhood. Over 3 years all of the little Jewish mom & pop stores became Korean stores and all of the stores started featuring things like roti chicken, curried goat and rum & raisin ice cream. Anyway it was not considered an up-market place. the last time I was back in toronto in 2005 it was now the trendy place for lawyers and other yuppies. All of the old houses had been done up and the mom and pop stores were now cafe bars or trendy resturaunts featuring trendy nouvelle cuisine. The same thing happens in Brisbane where they preserve the facade of an old building, gut or demolish the rest and thenput a new development behind the facade. The valley has gone that way in the last 5 years. Maybe if your in the UK you could suggest they try that on some of the old buildings in London like St Pauls Catherderal, Westminster Abbey or Buckingham Palace. Imagine how they would be improved. If you are in London why don't you visit T.H Lawerences print supplies. They make the best etching ink I have ever used, and their rollers are superb. The address used to be #3 Bleeding Heart Yard in London. I just love the street address. . -Jim Brodie - 6/4/2008

Thanks ill def go to that supplier he may even have some old prints etc to look at. I will go to the St Kilda Council to cheek out some more on the history of those buildings. I'll put up a shot soon but need to get my upload code off Paul S lost it again. A friend of mine said she has a door from one of the old hotels in her house with the number on it. I'll get a flick of it maybe that could be a good upload for eppm sight man we need a few more artists on the site they all seem to busy adminning their careers hahahaha . -Michael Florrimel - 6/5/2008

Hi michael. That sounds good. I been sending things out to international juried exhibitions this year and so far I have got stuff accepted in Demark, Canada (Victoria on Vancouver Island) and Bulgaria. I just found out about print shows in Istanbul , postmark by June 20 and Mexico (Peace theme) Due August 28. Both of these will not accept digital work, traditional media only. But I'm plannimng on sending some etchings which were made using digital imagery. When I get some free time(ha ha) Iwillupload some of the image into the gallery. Jim Brodie . -Jim Brodie - 6/5/2008

Hi Jim yep time escapes us all I'll try and get the photo of the doodr up I might see how it all goes with the research on these building maybe I should apply to install the work in the same gallery I showed the work in in 1990. Icould use the old work with the new as a further investigation into the buildings. . -Michael Florrimell - 6/6/2008

Jim are you going to do an updated print with Paris Hilton in it as well? As Obama and Hillary are not the only hopefuls now that Paris has entered the race for President as well. Go Paris! . -Michael Zschech - 8/12/2008

MIchael as you know Paris has already offered herself. She has an ad on the internet about running for president instead of that 'wrinkly old white guy.' I don't think she is referring to Mr Obama. How can one top reality? Of course if the French named their capital after me I would run for president too. Who needs Nick and Carla anyway. If the Pommies named their capital after me i would gracously aqccept the kingship. I'm probably a better bet than Charles anyway. Jim Brodie . -Jim Brodie - 8/13/2008

Sarah is not just legs.
She is a hockey mom who appeals to the six-pack dads. Sixpack being a half dozen Buds, Olys or Raniers or if ¥ou are lucky Coors. I only know some of the beers from the lower 48. I'm not sure what beer Alaskans drink.
I have however once had the dubious peasure of tasting eskimo ice-cream which ranks right up there with Vegimate.
